elusive! I am measuring success these days much differently than in the past.  Although I do have some big picture goals, I value much higher the successes of the smaller steps along the way making sure the stepping stones lay a good foundation so to speak.

An easy shortcut is to make the horizon the same line as the picture plane. No need to do the extra drawing!

For an image to be great, it must be one thing, Memorable. Once someone sees an image and can remember it, you have succeeded.

Brandon, the shadows should be from a lower sun, I think 45 degrees is the standard but do what looks best. Shadows are one of the best ways to give any elevation or plan depth.

Bigger shadows (they do not all have to be supper dark. More varied greens.
