LEED in Landscape Architecture 15 years, 6 months agoDoes anybody have any experience with LEED projects in India? We are working on a possible LEED ND project in Tamil Nadu and I’m not sure how some of the US requirements will transfer over there. Is the USGBC pretty amenable to adjusting the prerequisites based on differences in infrastructure systems?

The Sustainable Sites Initiative 15 years, 7 months agoHello Tamera,
Well, As a LEED AP, I can tell you that LEED doesn’t deal with the spaces BETWEEN the buildings on a level that is watershed centric, site planning, soils responsive. LEED does not give points for passive solutions, but favors mechanical solutions. In so many ways, LEED is very narrow, and SSI is very broad. Those are just a few…[Read more] -

UILA 15 years, 7 months agoI just got back from visiting the U of Idaho for the first time in 11 years. Lots of new (to me) stuff. I talked to Gary and Toru, but did not get back to see anyone else – lots of people to see outside of the U. Did see a few former employers (Frank Bennett and also Jon Decker) and some co-workers. …..and a lot of good friends in the region.

365 urban landscapes LE:NOTRE Mundus Seminar 15 years, 9 months agoHi 🙂
generally said, I write about my beloved Sarajevo and its post-war urban structures incl. landscapes. It is very interesting I think. I have the whole next semester to finish and I´m traveling there this week.
Hope you´re also doing some interesting stuff. Keep us updated 🙂
