charm. references. (real good ones), and a slick content filled portfolio. did I mention charm? The open house was a good opportunity to swap business cards and meet the a few of the faculty. chit chat probably helped me, but spending like 3 months on my application and portfolio didn’t hurt. I gave my essay (statement) to at least a dozen practitioners, and former professors who proof read and edited it down to a few good nuggets of quality stuff. having a unique career track was be helpful too i think. The MLA II was sweet though, I’m all done in a few weeks and I can’t wait to get outa here. bye bye GSD.
