Sophia Neves is a landscape designer focused on learning how to design resilient plant communities in public projects. She currently works at Calvin, Giordano & Associates in southeast Florida. She graduated with a Masters of Landscape Architecture + Environmental and Urban Design from Florida International University, selected by the faculty as the 2023 LAF Olmsted Scholar. Her graduate capstone project focused on the role of landscape architects in recognizing the direct connection between local culinary traditions and socio-ecological values.
