In Romania the transition from the communist regime to democracy (public – private, private – public spaces) is still a problem in many cases of understanding and assuming the public space. We have to assume the public space and understand that it is not for nobody when instead it belongs to all of us. After this model – http://www.uzinadeapa.com/ – we think that we can build one similar in Iasi, a Center for Urban culture, Landscape and Architecture in Iasi in the building depicted above, a former oil storage facility fo rthe old steam engine locomotives, now abandoned.
