Architectural evolution was directly influenced by the historical evolution of area. As a former industrial area, it still retains period features such as built massive and large surfaces. The development of business real estate has introduced vernacular elements (buildings diverse as structure, height, color), thus encouraged by the lack of specific regulations for the architecture development.
The constructions`s height and the urtban front are the first elements of which the visual appearance shows lack of spatial coherence. Styles found in the city are borrowed into the periphery as the artistic preferences of each owner individually, except as technical or report on a human scale (the user`s space). Although it is an industrial area, buildings with industrial character have a decreasing number, the new architectural volumes being developed both horizontally and vertically.
