Kimley-Horn helped to create a multi-phased Main Street development plan for the City of Duncanville, Texas (population 60,000), providing improved bicycle, pedestrian, parking, and streetscaping amenities within a confined right-of-way. The pedestrian and bicycle-friendly improvements will help to redefine the aging downtown and will be a catalyst for future development, including a planned rail station. Kimley-Horn provided planning, design, and full-time construction management services, and recently won the American Public Works Association (Texas) Transportation Project of the Year!
