The goal of the project is to build a park in the area provided by the Pazardzhik municipality, in which examples of world park art will be presented. The park composition is developed so that the objects can be exhibited on different principles, in which individual countries will be able to show features of their park art in one permanent exhibition. This could happen if each of the countries applied and received an exhibition area and provided a project for a miniature park representing their national garden and park art and developed by a popular designer, so that the park would also become a permanent exhibition of contemporary landscape architects from around the world.
The park composition will develop along a west-east axis, with six exhibition areas for the six inhabited continents planned in the central part. Antarctica and the World Ocean will be represented by a series of three water areas – fountains with sound and light, ending at the eastern end of the park with a summer stage and an amphitheater with 428 seats arranged in three rows. The stage will be surrounded by a programmable fountain, so on days when there are no scheduled events, at certain times the fountain will perform an attractive water-music-light show.
The park composition develops in one main compositional axis with an east-west direction. On both sides of the main compositional axis, there are areas for peaceful relaxation and walks, combined with scientific and cognitive elements, located in 8 larger exhibition areas in the form of geoplastics, inclined to the main compositional axis in order to ensure an optimal perception of human height . They can exhibit elements characteristic of classical gardens around the world, for example: Japanese garden, Italian Renaissance, French classicism, English parks, Arab gardens… Bulgarian garden, etc. They are also combined with detours for walking and viewing the expositions from all sides. This circuit route also passes around the amphitheater, where it is duplicated with the circuit of the tribunes themselves, combined with 9 viewing platforms, where from a height of 1.50 m above the adjacent terrain it will be possible to view a system of 9 inclined and 10 flat exhibition areas, in which be located characteristic elements of countries from all corners of the globe. The second route, at ground level, will circle the amphitheater with a larger perimeter and a more broken line of traffic, allowing for a longer, leisurely walk and direct observation of the exhibits.
Directly next to the amphitheater, a round “dry fountain” in the pavement is planned from the north, which could also play the role of a water clock. It will be another center of attraction in the park composition.
At the beginning of the compositional axis, at the main entrance of the park area, from the north, it is planned to build a visitor center, a souvenir pavilion and a cafe with modular pavilions, which can also be united by a common canopy, and the spaces to them can be opened or closed independently of each other. They also have a space for placing tables next to the cafe, as well as a children’s playground with a sandbox and shock-absorbing flooring, and the space can also be used for a children’s party center or outdoor children’s study rooms.
