The winning entry into the Integrating Habitats Competition Category 1 for mixed use development.
The students (Ben McDowell, Tyler Stradling, Mike Nicoli, Todd Severenson) used prefabricated units for buildings to minimize site disturbance. The remaining areas maximized ecological function for hydrology and habitat through connectivity and proper planting and maintenance.
The units face to the habitat areas to maximize the views to nature with these views increasing value.
