This mitigation project had been waiting on the sidelines for completion for a good 8-10 years before I joined the County. I was responsible for educating myself on the mitigation requirements, contacting and coordinating with County Parks for land acquirement, California Department of Fish and Game, U.S. Fish and Wildlife, the City of Sacramento, and the Sacramento Tree Foundation, producing construction documents, cost estimating, bidding, and construction administration.
