Solid works has a free application that allows you to control layer visibility and use of layouts. I only use it to make sure that my Vectorworks exports can be seen properly.

I’ll hadn’t been aware of that one but it seems you need the enhanced version to work on Mac, and it says ask for quote. Anyone have a quote? (I don’t like to send email and end up on company contact lists).

Meanwhile, like Laurent I have found Autocad-WS all I need for opening and grading student work or viewing outside files for discussions.

What version are you running? Another thing to check is what version of AutoCAD is the file.

If you are concerned about registering I simply bypassed this and it works fine.
