LARE prep courses at asla conference worth it as a kickstart?

Hey everyone,

Looking forward to this years asla conference and curious what others have thought about lare prep courses at the event in the past.

Did you start your journey of study at one of these, if so what did you think? 

Anything you would have covered before attending?

I am planning on attending both prep courses to get a refresher from the basics covered at school since I am sure things have changed. After I will be getting practice tests and study guides and nailing down a study schedule.
