    Hi all-

Listed below is a link to the “Pierscape” project for a design competition for Chicago’s Navy Pier.

    http://www.navypiervision.com/index.html

Click on the “Design Teams” tab to see all the short-listed submissions.

Somewhat of a “Who’s Who” of competitors. Interested in others thoughts + comments.

I believe the winner will be announced on Feb. 14th.

    Enjoy.

Interesting…but what exactly is wrong with what is there now? Seems like a collosal waste of time and money.

cudos to !melk for getting shortlisted with the big boys, just started in 2010 and theyre website looks partially complete, lol. I love seeing these tiny startups blowing the big corporate firms out of the water…gives me inspiration!

Thanks for posting, all the presentations were super impressive!

Check out the !melk teams video presentation..they interview chicagoans.

SOunds like it’s become your typical corporate chain retail suckhole.

Suck hole is a pretty good description.  The only people that go there are tourist and suburbanites who don’t know any better.  Chicago certainly has so much more to offer then Navy Pier.  The store selection is awful too.  Popcorn stands and cheesy t shirt shops.
