Hi everyone,
I got this request for comments on LEED 2012 from ASLA as a PPN member,
but obviously it’s open to the public so I thought I’d repost. The
greater the diversity of comments USGBC and ASLA receive, the better!

Dear
Professional Practice Network (PPN) member,
The public comment period is now open for LEED 2012. Please visit http://www.usgbc.org/DisplayPage.aspx?CMSPageID=2360 for
more information and to submit comments. The deadline for comment
submission is Dec. 31, 2010. There will be additional public comment
periods in the
future.
We’d like to have as much input as possible from PPN
members. Your comments as an individual are important, and they may
also help us craft the ASLA institutional response. If you are
responding as an individual, and can send me a copy of your comments by
December 21, we
will review your input for inclusion in ASLA’s response.
Sincerely,
Rachel Shaw

Excerpt from http://www.usgbc.org/DisplayPage.aspx?CMSPageID=2360:
“In early November, USGBC will begin a
stakeholder engagement that will include multiple public comment
periods open to all LEED stakeholders. During that time, individuals
serving on the relevant USGBC member committees will review and respond
to the comments gathered, making any necessary updates and presenting a
new draft to stakeholders for more public comment. At the end of this
process, a final draft will go before USGBC’s membership for a vote.
LEED will not change overnight; we are embarking on a process of
stakeholder engagement and careful development of a consensus-based,
technically improved, and innovative rating system that continues to
push the market toward optimal building design, construction, and
operations practices.”
