I’m pleased to be reviewing Principles of Brownfield Regeneration: Cleanup, Design, and Reuse of Derelict Land by Justin Hollander, Niall Kirkwood, Julia Gold, Island Press was kind enough to make a review copy available to me.

I’m only just starting it but can already make some positive comments in that this is a lucid and informative tome. The authors make the reader abundantly aware of the federal, state, and local morass of agencies one must negotiate during a typical brownfield restoration project, as well as the almost Byzantine regulations and laws. They also provide excellent advice on how to skillfully manage these hurdles.

Looking forward to exploring this book in detail shortly,

    Dave Bockman

I agree, great and fair price– I for one grow weary of $60.00-125.00 scholarly or technically-oriented books, I think the price is outrageous in most cases.
