How about any one of the SSI pilot projects, which would actually represent the content of the book? Three have been certified so far.

That is one issue that I don’t remember coming across. I would try exporting/printing and to see if they appear in the final image. I’ll think about it thought and see if I can come up with an answer. It’s just a little more difficult to know what is happening without seeing all of the settings myself. Best of Luck!

You can also right click (for those of us with a right mouse button, sorry Mac people) and select it from there. Right mouse button…one of many reasons I havn’t switched to Mac.

Jason T. Radice replied to the topic Looking for a good anti-graffiti product for a concrete wall. in the forum GENERAL DISCUSSION 13 years, 11 months ago
There are lots of different anti-grafitti sealers on the market, from acrylic to a glass-like product. It is failrly common and most good concrete supply stores should carry it. It is generally applied with a handheld pump sprayer.Google anti-grafitti concrete sealer. It won’t magically wash away when it rains, but it can be cleaned, sometimes…[Read more]

Thank you for the explanation! That’s actually the steps I took when I was in school using the PCs. I’ll see if my mac can do the same, otherwise it seems like the method I’m doing makes sense and works just the same.

Get a local graffiti artist to produce a full-sized piece for the wall… other artists tend to not “tag” or otherwise mar existing artist’s work : )

Here’s a page where the steps are outlined in the first two points
http://www.sketchpad.net/cropmarks1.htmAlso make sure your artwork runs slightly over what will be the finished cropped edge, to avoid a thin white band between image and the edge of the page.
Good luck!

Nice.
It will be interesting to see how well it holds up, plant wise. The growing media looks very shallow for the type of plants they put on the roof.
Thanks for the post. -

Alland, you have to get tickets to visit the High Line in New YOrk, practically. It is hugely crowded, almost from it’s first day.
and that is a really good call, Jason. I hate the feathered look anyway, you have given me another reason to dislike it.. -

True. Some “general public” type people have mentioned this project to me. I guess that means it has at least broken through as a landscape architectural project. I guess that helps…or does it?

I’m not familiar with how it works with a mac, but on a PC, Acrobat installs itself as a printer, just as an inkjet or laser printer would. You go to “print” and choose “AdobePDF” where you choose your usual printer and choose your printing options. Either color or monochrome, and the printed resolution and post script options. There are presets…[Read more]

The pixelated look in InDesign is normal. I think that displaying images at full resolution slows the processing speed down, so the InDesign default for on-screen display is at a lower quality. You can change this if you go to Edit–>Preferences –> Display Performance. I would recommend leaving it as is, though, because displaying at a hi…[Read more]
