  • Hi here is a lecture that might be of interest to you. You can take part of it on the internet. It is done through a special software which you will have to download (see instructions bellow). Me and Andrew have used previously and it worked very well. We can considered the option of using this software for online seminars among our APULA Research School. Today is the last day for registering. Sorry for the late notification. If you have any questions let me know.

The lecture is being offered to members of the LE:NOTRE Network using the Vitero internet seminar room.

Starting on Tuesday 28th April at 17:00 C.E.T. the lectures will explore the provisions of the Convention and ideas and approaches to landscape planning, before moving to an overview of landscape planning approaches in a wide range of Central and East European countries and the ways in which the European Landscape Convention is (or is not) being implemented. We are very lucky to have the services of specialists in landscape planning from each of the countries concerned to provide these overviews. Finally, an attempt will be made to seek some generic concepts which provide common themes beyond the range of institutional and legal frameworks governing landscape planning in the different countries concerned.

To take part you will need to be registered on Vitero, if you are not already. To register and get a password please contact Sandra Schwaiger schwaiger@landscape.tuwien.ac.at BY 24th APRIL AT THE LATEST please. You will also need to download Vitero to your computer and to have a headset through which to listen and take part in the discussion. It is also beneficial if you have a relatively fast and stable internet connection. The information you will need to start using Vitero can be found on the LE:NOTRE web site:

We look forward to welcoming you on-line for the first lecture on 28th April. Please take the time to check your access to Vitero and run the necessary sound checks suggested.
