The Landscape Architecture Foundation (LAF) invites you to complete our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Survey for Landscape Architects & Designers. LAF developed this initiative in order to gain a baseline understanding of diversity among landscape architecture professionals, gauge diversity, equity, and inclusion policies and initiatives being pursued by landscape architecture organizations, and identify potential opportunities to support individuals and the profession.

You are being asked to participate as a landscape architecture professional. (If you are not a trained landscape architect by experience or education, please do not complete the survey.) Your participation in this survey is voluntary and all responses will be anonymous. As the expert on your own experiences, LAF wants to hear from you. LAF hopes to learn whether you feel supported, represented, and included in your workplace and how inclusive you find your workplace and the profession to be overall. LAF is also interested in what resources you think might be helpful to support diversity, equity, and inclusion in your workplace and in the profession as a whole. Responses will help to inform LAF’s programs and initiatives.

LAF plans to share a summary of the survey results at the 2019 ASLA Conference on Landscape Architecture in San Diego. Insights will also be published in an executive summary following the session. Further, LAF will share the data with landscape architecture capacity organizations, including the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), to support collaboration on this important topic.

Thank you to LAF’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Task Force, LAF’s Board of Directors and Board Emeritus, and ASLA for their support in the development of this survey.
