Hello All,
I just wanted to announce that my book, Google SketchUp for Site Design: A guide to modeling Site Plans, Terrain and Architecture has been published.
The book is published by Wiley and Sons.
Its been a long two years in the making and I hope it provides valuable and useful information on SketchUp to the community. You can find more info here:

August 7, 2009 at 8:47 pm #173470Rico FlorParticipantHi Dan.
How much? Ballpark?
BTW, amazing models. Were they processed further in PS or Piranesi, or are these pure SU-generated graphics? If they were, aMAzing!

The book is around $33 right now (pre-order I think) from Amazon or Land8’s book store.
All the models are in SketchUp – no post production. And thank you!August 7, 2009 at 9:14 pm #173468AnonymousInactiveAlso, here are some links to YouTube Animations of site plans. All are real world projects. The outlined process in the book was how I created the models. All the animations where created in SketchUp as well.

The design work of those spaces are equally as impressive as the models. well done. I will definitely pre-order.
I’m a novice to SketchUp, and my biggest challenge is creating good landforms. I’ll be interested to read your techniques.
Some of my more modest models:

Those are some excellent models images! Love the use of plants. Great use of plant material components and like the fact that the edges are turned off or hidden.
Check out these two youTube videos about Trees and Shrubs and the other on components:

I will be adding an animation next week on a botanic planting we did for a house in Colorado.
Thank you
