LAs, Climate Change and REDD

I am working on a short pitch paper (1 page) to describe how and why LAs are suited to working in the area of climate change and specifically on REDD (reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation).  The link I am making is that LA is one of the few professions that works with environmental systems and human systems and is well versed in the intersection.  This type of work is done frequently, but I am struggling find some good supporting documentation/studies.  Any leads would be greatly appreciated.
