We started talking about this after someone mentioned shelf psychology how a kid’s hand moves before their brain does. Three seconds, maybe less. That’s all a cover gets. Some of us have been digging into what makes a childrens book cover actually stop that hand mid-reach in Canada’s market specifically. Different demographics, different visual triggers.
