Thanks for the positive comments guys, we need to hear from the senior landscape architects, the veterans! like craig and mark, be nice to hear from others, as you guys are the ones we listen to (or i do anyway). I read a post on here the other day saying landscape arch a dying profession, what a load of crap, these people need to look internally i think.  Landscape architecture/urban design/planning; these things are all linked and they are pivotal to population growth which will continue to rise weather we want it to or not. Designers/planners are a very important part of the future, sure alot of people dont understand what we do, but so what; if they were to travell to 3rd world countries and see how things are done there they may get a better understanding. Make no mistake the related design professions are very valuable when it comes to current sustainability and future growth. Where would china and India be without engineers, planners, la s etc?

Who designs public outdoor spaces over there and commercial?! Someone must be doing it, The High Line, Fresh kills park, hotels, resorts, streetscapes, etc. Can we hear from some people that like their job and do make good money( I know hard to believe, yes there are ppl who make good money being a LA) , I know your out there. Your prob just to busy to bother posting on here.

 

Now im talking big picture here, of course ppl will be negative in the current economic climate.

We have a thing here called mowvember, everyone can sport a beard without fear of prejudice (even some women i believe) for the entire month of November. For the rest of the year just tell them its ‘designer stuble’ and is in fact very cool.

I learn t autocad, i have found i can teach myself some of the other 3d programs from this, they are similar to each other in many ways.
