    Hi Isabel!
Sorry for the delay in answering. Can´t see the whole discussion because I don´t use Linkedin but thankyou for quoting what Geraint Howells says, it´s very interesting. I didn´t know about keyscape, I´ll have to look into it.
There was a webinar last wednesday on sketchup and rendering https://land8.com/forum/topics/rendering-with-sketchup-webinar?id=2025679%3ATopic%3A538306&page=2#comments by Daniel Tal ( Here is the link to the presentation:http://vimeo.com/48282400

    Hello again!

    Thanks!

Those tutorials are led by Daniel Tal, the author of the book. You can buy it online (Amazón).

Can´t see the discussion on Likedin…

No, I don´t work 3D in autocad. I find it too difficult… There is another programme that some landscape designers use called Autodesk 3d max, but I think I´ll have to take a course because it´s not intuitive…

Another programme widely used in UK as I know is Vectorworks Landmark.

Let me know if you experience any of these softwares.

    Have a good weekend!

Isabel, I saw your website, love your designs!

    Hi Isabel!

Haven´t used sketchup too much since then but I liked the results specially because it´s an easy learning programme. The worst thing for me was to find plant models similar to the species I wanted to use in my design. I spent too much time looking for plants and entourage and started to build up my own library, but I think it would be very useful and time saving to buy one. There´s a very good book by Daniel Tal that helped me with some problems. Here are my first sketchup drawings of my own terrace.

Hi again! There´s another software called landfx. I haven´t used it either but apparently it helps with irrigation design.

Hi Joseph! Other land8 members, use Dynascape instead of Pro Landscape. You´ve got plenty of videos in their web http://www.dynascape.com/. I also think it´s a better software, although I´m not using either of them yet. Hope this helps! Good luck!

Thankyou Craig, I´ll take a look at them right now!

    Hi Craig!

Thankyou very much for your detailed reply!

I took a look at your website and I think this kind of presentations-designs is what they are looking for! 🙂

I´ll surf the internet for Dynascape software information.

    Thanks!
