January 13, 2016 at 1:20 pm #151621Bård MagnusParticipantI guess Los Angeles will be full of complex and interesting problems were I would like to practice som environment friendly urban planning.
My goal is also to have a company of my own through which I at least can do projects in Norway/Northern Europe now and then – writing, analysis, advising etc.
January 12, 2016 at 8:11 pm #151623Bård MagnusParticipantThat means that there is a lot of work to do turning the site into something else than urban sprawl?
Oslo is beautiful. The economy is good, but threatened by oil peak and climate change.. if we move, we´ll have a foot in the north way.. too. It´s more that my wife is curious on something else after ten years among silent mountain monkeys.

January 27, 2011 at 11:35 pm #178361Bård MagnusParticipantI remember watching this classic film in first year at landscape arc. Changing my childhood small village prejudices of big cities totally!
May 12, 2009 at 9:15 pm #176226Bård MagnusParticipantjupp, we did go. The studytrip was well organized and we saw some interessting sites, though there were several we missed. We also came in touch with mainly architecths on Cuba, among them prof. Julio Cesar (sic!) Perez, architecht and urbanist. We found that there are no education for landscape architechts on Cuba, but they are trying to establish a master programme and also an organisation for architechts practicing landscape architechture. I have also some pictures from Cuba, but they’re not on the web yet, but you may see some pictures a colleage of mine took in the year of 2002 which I p… before we left so others could have a look. He also joined this time, and we hope to publish some more pictures. When ther is time…

Messages from whistleblowers is important though. What is needed is an regulation to reduce negative concequeces from criticizing. This way we can reduce the fear of taking part in discussions with integrity!
March 13, 2009 at 1:50 pm #174797Bård MagnusParticipantLand8loung is a really good meeting place. It’s a pity I don’t use it more than I do, normally I have to many projects running anyway so I visit L8L more ad hoc. But yesterday I got a mail related to an old thread I wrote on the lounge asking for contactpersons to Cuban landscape architechts. That’s indeed one of the good things about L8L, getting esally in contact with colleges all over.
I’ll send my greetings from all the partitipants on the annually norwegian landscape architechture conference which is taking part in Oslo right now! Good luck with the second year!
November 3, 2008 at 8:13 am #176228Bård MagnusParticipantwhat do you mean? I googled “organiponicos” and this is one of the findings.
October 28, 2008 at 5:57 pm #176231Bård MagnusParticipantThanx. A local travel agent organize all the formal details, so that’s no problem. But we would like to have get in touch with some more professionals if possible.
