Here in Texas we are not required to be licensed for landscape contracting. Sometimes I wish we were because every guy that has lost his job in the last few months has become a landscaper/maintenace contractor. I am sometimes bidding against people that are brand new in the business.
I am working with several Landscape Architects like Roger. They are established and want a good contractor that can read their plans and have a feel for what they are trying to achieve in the design. I LOVE it! I don’t have to pay these architects a fee but I do plant somethings for them at their offices or homes occasionally. It is well worth
it. Thank goodness business has picked up here in Dallas!!!
