Not sure if anyone out there is still involved with this group, but I thought I would pass on a good opportunity for networking and meeting other professionals in the field. The Merging Professionals Group of Colorado is having a happy hour event with the Colorado Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects on March 29th in Denver. V…[Read more]

Hello all! I’m new to the Denver area and excited to see that there is a L.A. Denver group. My family and I just relocated from San Francisco about 6 months ago with our now 21 month old daughter. We are loving it! The unfortunate part (for me anyway) is that I had to give up my job and am now back in the job market. Ya…not the greatest time to…[Read more]

Just wondering how others are faring the extended barrage of budget cuts at public universities – seems to be happening everywhere. One of my current concerns is the increase in class size. We at the U. of Arizona are bringing together grad LA, Planning and Architecture classes with undergrad architecture classes, in the name of integration of the…[Read more]

Hey if you haven’t seen it already there’s an article in this months (11/09) issue of Landscape Architecture. It’s on the Eddie Maestas Park, designed by studioINSITE. I am interested in moving out West to begin a career in landscape architecture. I know the current economic climate is a challenge but can anyone offer some advice on where to find an entry-level position? I am not tied to any particular Western state.

Also just driving around Downtown is great, Albert C. Most of the streets have great focal points at the end of the sight lines.
