I believe that it all simmers down to Landscape Architect’s having bigger balls to be quite blunt. We do not showcase our work enough, enter enough competitions, and hide our work on dismal websites. We need to display and showcase our work with as much pride as possible, study all other design fields, and let the world know what we do. If this…[Read more]

Thank you so much for the feedback. We know exactly what you mean. Yet, in order for us to achieve the visual “book” kind of feel, we had to structure it as such. So that each post links to referenced “tagged” posts and you can access the galleries with ease. If you have any specific suggestions as to how to make it more appealing please let us…[Read more]

There is no one or the other. They must be used in tandem or you are only an artist or a designer and not both. Combine them and you can then communicate feelings as well as function. For a really in depth look at the computer and how it should be used, read the book “Induction Theory” by Makoto Sei Watanabe. It is not to long or to expensive and…[Read more]

The only firms that are moving to Maya are ones that do complete Modeling and Rendering. Also, all of the components in 3ds Max are in Maya. There is a reason AutoDesk makes both programs and the switch to Maya for more advanced firms makes sense. That is my personal opinion about Rhino. I don’t feel an any way that Rhino is at all comparable to…[Read more]

Kelli here are a few things you need to decide first before making your decision…
What kind of design do you primarily do?
Where do you eventually want to go in your personal design?
What kind of firm do you want to work for?
How much time do you want to put in to this and money?I have used and am some what proficient in SketchUp, Rhino, Form…[Read more]
