Denis – try “From Concept to Form in Landscape Design” by Grant Reid. It’s a good starting point for what you’re talking about.

Hello! I am looking for manuals on Design itself – especially combining forms and shapes(geometry), getting beatiful lines, proportions and finally getting harmonious composition. Any good books or e-books? The best free available on-line:) Waiting for advices!

In the eve of my graduation from Landscape Architecture program at UCLA, I was wondering what are the prospects of gaining some work experience in Europe. My concern is mainly with today’s economy. Can anyone comment on that?

Hi Barlow…hmmmmmmm sweeping statement, but none the less there is some merit in what you say, but surely it is not simply an american[USA] problem. I guess it depends on whose work you are looking at, and at what stage they are at in their careers. It takes time to develop individuality.
