3ds max + landscape architecture 16 years, 11 months agoI’ll see if I can get a hold of the 64 bit version of Brazil later tonight. My buddy sent me VRay too but there was something wrong with the zip file so I couldn’t get it to work. What’s so great about VRay? He’s also supposed to send RenderMan whatever that is.

3ds max + landscape architecture 16 years, 11 months agoLee, I would get the 64 bit version if you can. Michael had the same trouble with vista that you are having but figured it out . He might have some answers.

3ds max + landscape architecture 16 years, 11 months agoQuick question for ya’ll. A buddy of mine works at a Hollywood animation studio and said he could get me any kind of rendering software, scripts, plug-ins, etc. for 3ds Max for free. I just need to tell him what I want. Suggestions?

Habitat Restoration and Mitigation 16 years, 11 months agoIn regards to mitigation measures for the redevelopment of brownfield sites, the two design options that I am most familiar with, is to install a 40mil impervious linear and or install 3′ of clean fill.
The basic concept is that you are capping the areas of contaminated soils with a liner or with soil.In regards to the impervious liner,…[Read more]

3ds max + landscape architecture 16 years, 11 months agoOk, I will start a group, because there are a bunch of software/plugins that I use and I want to see if others in landscape use them at all.
But, in terms of the conversation. BIM software will be the used in every office in the future. It will be as ubiquitous as autocad is now. This will happen because clients will demand it. The GSA is already…[Read more]

3ds max + landscape architecture 16 years, 11 months agoSketchup doesn’t have the accuracy. It is clumsy in comparison. I have never drawn a vector in 3ds 300,000′ on accident like I have in sketchup. One of the reasons you dont see process drawings in 3ds is that you would have to render them and due to the fact that 3ds is such a fluid process it doesn’t make much sense to do that. The idea that…[Read more]
