Feels kinda odd that I am now cleaning and repairing the facilities that I designed and built a few years ago. Am looking for the light at the end of the tunnnel … so to speak, but it sure is dark in there! Acceptance of the situation is currently the hardest part of the entire process and I am getting tired of hearing “…well at least you have a job.” While I apppreciate the employment and the opportunity it is still disheartening. Good Luck to all and keep pushing!

Currently YES, but being transferred into the city’s parks maintenance division in two weeks. Been 15 years as a Park Planner/Landscape Architect here and another 9 years for another municipality as Park Planner and LA. Last year I was transferred from the Parks Administration dept. to the Engineering Division due to lack of parks projects and now being transferred back to a parks maintenance position because of a lack of projects city-wide.

Andrew, I realize this topic is about 6 months old, but I just joined the forum. Anyway, I have detail in my head that might work as a deterrent in the right setting. How about using a piece of corrugated plastic, fiberglass, or metal a couple of inches wide attached to the inside of the beveled portion of the inside of the form for a poured in place seat wall cap. Might be a little difficult to finish but would give you that scalloped edge detail to prevent the grinding. I used to use these corrugated materials to create the old ADA ramps details.

Just an idea, what the heck right that’s why we are here right?
