We then use a 6 letter code for the plant that is tied back to the excel master sheet. When I need to count, I just type in FIND in CAD and put the code in which brings up each instance of that plant.</p>
<p>When all the quantities are done the spreadsheet is pasted into paper space.</p>

I&#8217;m not as pessimistic as others on this site, but I&#8217;m thinking that by 2018 LA as a profession will have likely just gotten its stride back (in whatever form is anyone&#8217;s guess).</p>

I built a flash website in 2007 when I last switched jobs and in the last year completely redid it with a stronger UI using AS 2.0. Its amazing what i&#8217;ve learned in the last two years and the quality difference.</p>

<p>I worked there for about 2 and a half years and I would say the systems are drastically different. One of the biggest differences is that construction isn&#8217;t really part of the field. You won&#8217;t be pumping out CD sets over there. From speaking with fellow employees there appears to be no construction element in their degrees either.</p>
