It took me a minute to figure out what was going on. I had to click a few links and look at a few maps before I slowly realized what piece of ‘vacant real estate’ they were writing about.
I can understand the logic. I mean, it’s not like you ever see it on film, or anyone in the world associates it with that city.
I have been wondering why no…[Read more]

And why not.
Would be nice to see some people involved in all this. Car production is one of the last great employers and they need all the perks they can get. Some of the 50,000 trees could be fruit producers for staff to pick free fruit or just help crop for local charities. Some can be used to make an angle for factory walls and act as…[Read more]

I hope it is constructive to suggest that you do not want to know what you ask but to create other environments within the (future) boundaries you can expect in your area. While I am sure that your previous experience will be invaluable in this respect, I would suggest that you look at the project to preserve the oryx in the African desert. They…[Read more]

I think my home city of Denver has come a long way in the past decade in developing it’s light rail and mass transit system through RTD as well as commitments the mayor has made to inititives such as a million trees planted by 2010 and work featured by an array of architects and LA’s. It’s sort of an upstart big city with many options for…[Read more]

OK, so I found one of my online digital reads. Look for “Housing Giants” a publication of Reed Business Information. It seems to come out a couple times a month. This months main piece is on “Home Prices Improve in 17 of 20 Metros”. There is a lot of information but you are going to have to pick through it. Here is the subscription…[Read more]

Nick,
The market sucks in Reno-Tahoe with activity for residential landscapes mostly at the high end. Those firms/contractors that were focused in housing are dry. Our firm has its hands in a wide variety of areas, hence my staff and I have survived so far. Here’s an idea about where you might find some data and market insight: look for local…[Read more]
