I think the ASLA is somehow very non-user friendly, and am currently a member of an Engineering Union, which has garnered LA’s in my office significantly higher pay..

I am all in favor of unions..My grandma was an ILGWU seamstress..

The simplest and easiest answer to 3D programming is Google’s SketchUp. It’s free to download and use, easy to model simple buildings and terrain, but definitely has some limitations versus the higher priced software. Maybe you don’t have to be so exact with the same plant material, but creating the essence of an italian landscape would work. Dark greens of the Italian Cypress and silvery, greens will evoke an italian landscape. Ilex comes to mind. I am thinking of the Nappa valley for inspiration.
