nowadays you can find transparent 3d trees on warehouse. they are created by transparent planes in the shape of trees. there are different kinds. maybe they are not the exact kind of plant but they give the idea with their shapes. the best thing is that they dont make the program crash or slow down.

Give it 6 months minimum as long as he/she is not beating you physically. If it gets a little better, give it another 6 months. If you’re not learning or doing the type of work you want to do after a year, find another job or do something else.

They add about 20 – 30 images a week so they’re growing pretty fast…

How about the Modesto Ash?  Nah, probably gets to big for what you want.  Used a lot of those in Las Vegas.  Amazing heat tolerance.

Used them a fair amount in VA.  Everything comes engineered, so liability wise is nice.  The units were installed in urban/tight environments where there wasn’t enough area for above ground systems.  They can help with potentially larger units as well.  The maintenance schedule comes from the manufacturer and is a heck of a lot easier than a ful…[Read more]

Katsura is good in Modesto, Henry..Cercis canadensis out here are Cercis Occidentalis, and they somehow have none of the charm of our east coast redbud, IMHO..They are tough-looking where our redbud is so delicate and beautiful..Same flower color,but  it is the dry toughness that I dislike, whereas the east coast is a graceful delicate plant that…[Read more]

How about Katsura’s – I love them, they have a beautiful form, beautiful leaf, they can be pruned  nicely to fit the tight spot as they grow, and they are pretty tough, hard to kill..
I also like Gingkos, but bosc’s  of Gingkos is from the Seventies, IMHO, and makes it look seventies!

Even if it is not a good situation, opportunities are few these days. Take what you an from the position in order to grow. Try to make lemonade out of lemons, if that is the situation.

Mimosa trees are terribly invasive as well.

But don’t forget that if the situation becomes abusive, be sure to keep an (off-site) record of situations with dates and descriptions in case you need to file a hostile working environment suit…

I’ve always loved the way Mimosa Trees look when blooming. Can’t remember what they look like in the fall, but they have a nice structure for a patio tree. I don’t think you can ever go wrong with a specimen Live Oak, though I don’t know how well they do in Modesto….a specimen Olive! ooh. Or Magnolia, Gleditsia, could you grow Jacaranda?
