My next project in school is to design a therapeutic garden for a Berkana rehabilitation facility. I’ve been doing quite a bit of research on the different ailments that their patients suffer from and have compiled quite a bit of research on my own. Coming from some practicing landscape architects or other students, does anybody have any input on this topic? Ideas? Important tidbits of information or problems to keep an eye out for?

    Thank guys!

There is a central blog type site here

But I have been confused myself on how the terms “healing,””meditation,” and “therapeutic” are used. ASLA seems to imply that the latter are more active and associated with a facility. I think it would depend a lot on what the staff of the place would want, and be able to use in their program. That is the place to start.
