Hi there, im currently doing my final design project for my Landscape Architecture degree and am struggling with the planting for the site. The site is the Silvertown Quays which is in the Royal Victoria Docks in London. The site is very urban and is a waterside site and will be a mixed use development. I’m wanting to bring back the history of the site which includes being used as a industrial flour mill and before that it was marsh lands. Im interested in the idea of urban agriculture, urban plazas/squares and planting that is simplistic. Hope that all makes sense. Any help would be much appreciated.

Is your struggle the effort to reconcile “I’m wanting to bring back the history of the site” with “I’m interested in the idea of urban agriculture, urban plazas/squares.” Why are you imposing these constraints on the design? Do either grow out of “The site is very urban and is a waterside site and will be a mixed use development.”?
