Visiting Chicago, looking to learn about firms there.

Hello everybody. This is my first post on the boards, and I was wondering if I could crowd source some information. I am taking a trip to Chicago in early October and I was looking for firms/people to talk to about the landscape architecture/urban planning/ urban design industry in the city. I have done a bit of research, and am just looking to get a feel for the industry in the area. Any direction in how to navigate it/ who would be willing to give informational interviews or discussion about design in Chicago would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance everybody for the advice.
