Evan, thanks for taking the time to make some thoughtful suggestions.  That is one of the pages I also thought could use some re-working.  I think your right, I can probably move it to the title spread.  Thanks!

In my opinion, I don’t think you necessarily need to demonstrate landscape relevant projects. Landscape is a generalist discipline, we must account for a broad spectrum of information. So having a different background is what makes you a unique candidate.  You just need to enhance this unique perspective and demonstrate how it could inform your thinking in the landscape design process.  While well executed graphics are important, I think more importantly is that you demonstrate your design thought process.

Maybe take some masters level courses. Read as much as you can about the LA field.  Best of luck!

    Congratulations!

Like others have suggested, I also think you should take time off school to expose yourself to the field.  It will not only confirm your aspirations for a career in landscape architecture, but you will be a better and more prepared graduate student as well, if you choose to go back to school in the future.  Hope this helps!

True.  The 101 is awful. But Los Angeles is changing its ways.  And I can’t help but think that the complexity of challenges it presents sure would make it an interesting place to practice.

Hello. Welcome. I think you would best connect with the profession through the Amaerica Planning Association (APA). Maybe you are already familiar with APA? A good place to start is their Los Angeles Chapter: http://apalosangeles.org
