Would someone upload a pre/post photoshop pair of images, and with/without vray? I’m trying to get the boss to buy Vray and need some expamples that show how much further the renderings can go.

There is little difference to me for Adobe on mac or pc. I get a few more crashes when running AutoCAD in a Parallels simultaneously with CS4 on the Mac side. But that suits my work flow best so I tolerate the occasional hang. I have even had AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and CS4 running at the same time with satisfactory performance.
Based on my nonscientific analysis, it is the network/antivirus/spyware/autobackup configuration that commonly produces the most instability – not the platform or the design software. Antivirus from all vendors run their tentacles into every corner of our operating systems and can unleash havoc in the background. My worst experiences came with a transition to Trend Micro. Working with the IT people to make sure any automatic tasks performed by the antivirus/spyware has had much better results than platform switching.

We see the animators and GD students sketching out stacks of ideations on their tablets then organizing and evaluating in slideshows. the tactility of the digital pen is amazing. Digital line weight responds directly to touch. I even saw an animation demonstration by a retired Disney animator using a tablet PC. He was in his 70’s. We are starting to do it too. Very efficient. Plus you have the entire design evolution at your finger tips, instead of a pile of trace and napkins under the desk. These tablets will follow us to work, assuming there is any.
I will confess, i love the way an old sketch book smells.

We were staying on Savoyen strasse and had a good view of the city. We poked around some of the trails up there. We strolled around Schonbrunn and tried to imagine how it works leafed out. Still impressive. We took in a show at the Konzerthaus then a night walk along the canal (name?) there. I thought the Intercontinental Hotel made a horrible back drop to the scene. We stopped by Nasch Market on Sunday, but it was closed, so headed to the Hofburg.
Over all, the grand scale was too imperial for my taste. The plazas were too big to make much sense while walking around. But I’ve been in Prague for the last month and every thing here fits the pedestrian like a glove. What is your take having lived there for a while?
Thanks again for the tips
