Many thanks Andrew. No the rill was parallel from start to finish, but the scale of the various elements and their relationship with each other certainly made the garden feel a lot bigger than the 10 x 15m reality

Hi Andrew and John. Yes they’re copper tubes which support the GRP canopy, we were exploring the concept of making the ordinary extraordinary. Andrew and I wanted the poles to feel like they were dissaperaing so we sketched up a few examples and worked with an amazing metal worker who plasma cut them. Regarding the lights we worked with lighting designer Michael Grubb who inserted firbre optic lights into the end of each pole, this provided a really subtle and quite beautiful ambient lighting effect
