3ds max + landscape architecture 16 years, 8 months agoI use mental ray as well. I think for rendering perspectives it works pretty well but Brazil seems to be ideal for animations since it shortens the rendering time without sacrificing too much quality.

3ds max + landscape architecture 16 years, 8 months agoI’ll see if I can get a hold of the 64 bit version of Brazil later tonight. My buddy sent me VRay too but there was something wrong with the zip file so I couldn’t get it to work. What’s so great about VRay? He’s also supposed to send RenderMan whatever that is.

3ds max + landscape architecture 16 years, 8 months agoLee, I would get the 64 bit version if you can. Michael had the same trouble with vista that you are having but figured it out . He might have some answers.

3ds max + landscape architecture 16 years, 8 months agoSo far I’ve got Brazil but I’m having a little trouble with the work around for the license. I hate Vista. Its supposed to be compatible with most versions of 3d Max so give it a trySplutterfish Brazil RS v1.2.66 for 3ds Max9 (32bit).rar

3ds max + landscape architecture 16 years, 8 months agoQuick question for ya’ll. A buddy of mine works at a Hollywood animation studio and said he could get me any kind of rendering software, scripts, plug-ins, etc. for 3ds Max for free. I just need to tell him what I want. Suggestions?

3ds max + landscape architecture 16 years, 8 months agoOk, I will start a group, because there are a bunch of software/plugins that I use and I want to see if others in landscape use them at all.
But, in terms of the conversation. BIM software will be the used in every office in the future. It will be as ubiquitous as autocad is now. This will happen because clients will demand it. The GSA is already…[Read more]

3ds max + landscape architecture 16 years, 8 months agoSketchup doesn’t have the accuracy. It is clumsy in comparison. I have never drawn a vector in 3ds 300,000′ on accident like I have in sketchup. One of the reasons you dont see process drawings in 3ds is that you would have to render them and due to the fact that 3ds is such a fluid process it doesn’t make much sense to do that. The idea that…[Read more]
