Great website–thanks for pointing it out. Living in Seattle, I have visited many of the listed projects, urban and rural, but many more are coming on board. In 2010 some Seattle homeowners will receive $$ rebates for installing rain gardens and cisterns to reduce CSO into Puget Sound and Lake Union. read more: http://www.seattle.gov/util/rainwise

So much to learn from you lot, hopefully contribute some stuff that may be of interest. All abstract and still learning the basics of Vector/sketch up etc. Being a Mac user can you survive with out AutoCad? ( can’t do the Windows Geekdom thing)

New brief for the Annual Cleveland Competition comes out in a week. Might be a bit more architecturally oriented this year (design for a transit center), but should still have some master planning efforts and good public space design.

Yeah, Paul Keating has pretty much laid wasted to Barangaroo. It is a shame but at least it looks like Thallis is going to go down without a fight.

thanks Vladimir for the comment, I agree competitions need to be transparent, it’s good to be reminded that we live in the world of politics and connections. SO even if u have the very good design u will be a winner, sad truth…..

Before you embark on any competition I advise you to check the political context. Bevare of any competition that has politicians as judges. Anglo – saxon countries have tendency to compromise the results and often completely change the outcome.
One such competition just happened In Sydney (Darling Harbour East) where due to unacceptable meddling…[Read more] -

I have questions about Vectorworks.. one of that is.. when I use VW for 3d site modeling, it becomes so slow.. I made layers simple, even classes.. But still slow..
I’m using ‘i-mac’ resent version. How I can make it faster? Change Graphic Card?
Up Grade Memory? Is there anybody knows about VectorWorks? -
