L.A.R.E. – ANYTHING GOES 16 years agoIt is unbelievable how delinquent CLARB is in posting scores. It has been over 5 weeks since I have taken my computer based exam Sec D. . .still waiting. I don’t understand how College Board can return results from an SAT exam, taken by millions of high school students across the country in only two weeks!

Portfolios and Resumes – Design Strategies 16 years agoI created my website a few weeks back, just with a taste of my work, I figure if prospective employers/ clients like what they see, they can ask for more.
First attempt at this, any criticism would be helpful. Let me know what you think.

3ds max + landscape architecture 16 years agoI like the Luxigon style where pretty much everything but the basic render is done in photoshop. but if you can get onyx Treestorm which comes with a grass generator and and a lot of trees that can be changed and there is a free ivy generator that I posted somewhere on here but I can’t remember the name.
Most people just seem to get the…[Read more]

L.A.R.E. – ANYTHING GOES 16 years agoYou’ll get the most out of any prep course (especially Section E) if you work on practice vignettes for at least a couple of weeks prior to the class. Otherwise it can be very discouraging for someone who had been out of school for years and doesn’t work on grading plans on the job.
Also, prep classes are usually full, and there’s usually only…[Read more]

L.A.R.E. – ANYTHING GOES 16 years agoKatrina,
My reviews in the SF Bay Area are not inexpensive, but you get a very intensive introduction to what the performance sections are about, and lots of practice and feedback opportunities.
E-mail me and I’ll send you a PDF brochure. Rayfreeman3@comcast.net

L.A.R.E. – ANYTHING GOES 16 years, 1 month agoI agree, if you can avoid taking C and E at the same time you may have better luck. It is a TON of information and you can easily get confused or worse: exhausted! That’s not saying it isn’t possilbe, it is just a lot more difficult. C isn’t too bad, but section E is notorious for being a multi-round test! If you can find a review course in your…[Read more]

3ds max + landscape architecture 16 years, 1 month agoI believe it is a Nvidia 280 GTM, middle of the range but still better than the one on my old computer that ran max 2010 quite well. i7, 8 gigs of ram. Having some photoshop problems too. pretty much everything is frames per second related, it makes zooming and moving things around so hard.

3ds max + landscape architecture 16 years, 1 month agoMy experience with 3ds max 2010 on Windows 7 Enterprise x64 has been very good. Its certainly a huge step up from Vista. I’ve got a nice set of graphics cards though so maybe thats the difference. What kind of hardware are you running?

3ds max + landscape architecture 16 years, 1 month agoSo what are people’s experiences with windows 7 and max? I am running 7 professional 64bit and max 2010 64 bit and having some problems, mainly graphics card related. very low fps which is making it hard to model. though I am hoping that max 2011 which comes out in the next month will help.
