Makes sense and is non-confrontational. Thank you.
January 23, 2011 at 5:48 pm #165487Kerri AParticipantI second Researsal Assistant. Has been really useful . . . also recording lectures, etc.
January 1, 2011 at 1:25 am #165984Kerri AParticipantYou have to actually read the USFS report in the 2nd link. There’s no magic bullet yet.
I think the first thing is learning of its spread and effect to begin with and bringing the topic to the fore; the video summarizes an unfamiliar topic to many quite succinctly, i.e. disrupting an ecosystem will have a consequence that has potential direct effect on them.
January 29, 2010 at 3:48 am #171355Kerri AParticipantThanks – will check it out!
January 28, 2010 at 7:25 am #171358Kerri AParticipantFor the low-flow creek though I should have clarified I was thinking of a situation in which an urban creek diverted underground is daylighted. I’ll check out the book. Seems to be a fuzzy line between what becomes a “pool” and what is a “natural” water feature that can be much deeper (such as a daylighted creek – is that “natural” or is that a designed water feature now?) Thanks much for your info!

Recycling = implementing a previously used material, but UPcycling = implementing a material that goes beyond recycling in that it is chosen or implemented in a way that it can be reused yet AGAIN when the landscape you’ve designed is/might be dismantled in the future.
August 8, 2009 at 6:47 pm #173446Kerri AParticipantHang on to that thought. It’s not so straightforward and simple if you need to swap the software to a different computer. Have this in mind and install it where you think it will be parked the longest-ka

Because dogs put a lot of wear and tear on the ground plane only the extremely drought-tolerant will survive 😉 When they run, etc. they wear paths in any turf that is planted and the surface will be either wood chips or sand. Only pioneer-type plants typically survive so no use in wasting the water on any sort of turf. There might be drought-tolerant vines, and/or groundcovers around the periphery or in islands that will need water to get established. Thanks for your feedback.
July 26, 2009 at 7:53 pm #173581Kerri AParticipantWOW that was timely 😉 Currently, the only grade changes in the works are at the entrance (which does include a rather long and wide “holding room” before entrance into the main dogpark area) for ADA access. We’ve yet to see the current irrigation layout plan for better understanding of design requirements. Thanks much!
December 19, 2008 at 2:59 pm #175828Kerri AParticipantI’ve always bought a used one from a site such as Craigslist.com, eBay, etc. and gotten a great, often homemade table, for not much money. -ka
December 4, 2008 at 3:30 pm #175889Kerri AParticipantEXACTLY what I had in mind. Thanks much !!!
December 4, 2008 at 3:28 pm #175890Kerri AParticipantI think you’re referring to the HIGH BOTANIC BRIDGE in Gwangju, South Korea. Thank you !!!
December 4, 2008 at 2:58 pm #175891Kerri AParticipantVery nice concept. I hope it gets built. Thank you!
