its funny you mentioned that because I read about that in LAM a couple years ago and that is was one of the main reasons I decided to go with the artificial turf. I have not had the opportunity to visit it but from what I have read it seems like an excellent solution for the space.

I definitely agree. My professor and I debated on the pros and cons, and I had my reason and he had his. The program for this project asked for a cost effective and durable space, which lead me to the artificial turf. I wanted more of an oasis feel from the city as you described. I believe Frank as made an excellent point about the “sole” of a drawing, The difference to me between photoshop and illustrator is all about efficiency, what program can i do what in the fastest. I had the same issue to. In acrobat I re-saved it as a previous version, with every previous version you save it as the file size goes down while preserving the quality.

briscad has a very small footprint on your computer compared to autocad. i have looked into it and it looks very promising

I am going there for 4 weeks to study the landscape for a class, but if you plan on going there to study at a school, look into Leeds Metropolitan University, its a good LA school in the UK i know a couple of people planning on going there, and who have went. http://www.leedsmet.ac.uk/as/ald/index.htm
