About

Sabrina Altair Buttitta, BSLA, has been in the landscape design/build industry for eleven years. After first receiving her Associate of Applied Science for Horticulture in 2004, she furthered her education and achieved her Bachelor of Science for Landscape Architecture from the University of Connecticut in 2007. Throughout college, she had the opportunity to gain experience working in a variety of landscape architecture, landscape design, nursery, and other environmental jobs.

Due to Ms. Buttitta’s dedicated leadership skills in illustrating environmental sustainability, as a member of the Soil & Water Conservation Society she helped launch the first campus green roof initiative for the University of Connecticut. After vigorous research and analysis, and with grant approval from the EPA and DEP, 3,600 square feet of green roof were successfully installed. Upon graduating, she moved back to Long Island and began working as a Landscape Designer on projects ranging from the scenic Hamptons to the historic Gold Coast. Additionally, she managed and designed two company’s marketing strategies and productions, where she was able to further combine her craft for creativity, writing, and graphics within the landscape design field.

As a result of Ms. Buttitta’s ultimate passion to create ecological design solutions and demonstrate greener living practices, she began working for Plant Connection, Inc. in 2010 as a Green Wall and Roof Design Specialist. There she not only revamped the company’s marketing productions, but she has designed over 12,000 square feet of green walls and green roofs. Ms. Buttitta really enjoys the opportunity to design with these forms of green technology that truly integrate architecture with nature, and create sustainable building solutions and living artwork.
