LARE Multiple Choice Discussion 14 years, 10 months agoCurly,
The LATC has it’s own standards on eligibility to take the exam. You can get info off their web site.
The webinars are recorded. I think if you register as a pro member thru Land 8 you can view the webinar content at your leisure. Check with Andrew Spiering (the founder of the site) on procedures. -

LARE Multiple Choice Discussion 14 years, 10 months agoHi. Just joined the discussion and the section D seminar.

(2) I’ve passed sections A and B. B on the first try and A on the second. I was able to take them because I received an AA in Landscape Architecture from Truckee Meadows Community College in Reno, NV in ’09. …[Read more] -

LARE Multiple Choice Discussion 14 years, 10 months agoHi all,
I am retaking Section B in March and trying to focus on my weaknesses which from the diagnostic feedback seem to be the Inventory and Analysis Sections.
Would anyone have any recommendations of certain chapters to read through? (That would pertain to Inventory and Analysis) I have all the reference books for B. I am afraid I will st…[Read more] -

LARE Multiple Choice Discussion 14 years, 10 months agoI’m setting this discussion group up as an information exchange resource for people sitting for the exam. Perhaps it will be helpful in de-mystifying these sections for the users.
You can perhaps also use it to set up a long distance study group, find people local to you with whom to study, and ask questions of people knowledgeable about the…[Read more] -

Employment Storytelling 14 years, 10 months agoGreat idea for a group, Jennifer. I’ve been thinking a lot lately about where I can find positive examples of design company policies/experiences and I’m eager to hear them, as well as creative, constructive discussion about ways to improve the bad ones.
I’d like to offer a positive story so I’ll have to reach beyond my design office experience,…[Read more] -

Employment Storytelling 14 years, 10 months agoso, since we’re sharing the good, the bad, and the ugly here’s my contribution.
Last summer we had a pretty significant weather event. EVERYTHING in the city government shut down, schools closed, highways closed, the mayor declared a weather emergency. On the news they kept telling people STAY OFF THE ROADS; it’s not safe. On the morning of the…[Read more] -

SketchUp 14 years, 10 months agoNot a bad question to ask at all. The easiest way is to select an item with the black arrow key [or hit spacebar]. Then click the Move tool which has arrows in all directions and can be found in the Large Tool Set or the Getting Started Toolbar [or hit M on the keyboard]. After the item is highlighted and you have the Move tool selected, hol…[Read more]

SketchUp 14 years, 11 months agoDoes the area obstructed show up in the image after capturing? I have had it look like it was clipped, and then after saving the view for the animation it worked.
