It does depend on whether you want people to remember what you’ve written. Recent research indicates that you are more likely to remember text if it is a little more difficult to read. As McHarg, Carson and colleagues set the sustainability movement in motion is there any discussion on chaos theory which may be a contemporary building block to add to McHarg’s shoulders?

Are we really landscape architects/ designers? Are we not philosophers, psychologists, subversive thinkers and all connecting with an unknown place – jumping not knowing where we might land and sometimes failing? Who knows where he/she is going? Chase Teddy Roosevelt’s lecture to the Sorbonne in 1910!

Consider a convex surface for drainage and keeping the fire breaking apart for extra oxygen supply. Slightly more wood would be needed for the session however.

These markets need to be developed in the good times. Also, we should consider publishing our personal views/ observations in local journals as our careers advance / falter. Being generous in the good times with our time, counsel and hospitality can keep the mine shored up while we take to substitute jobs (if necessary) when it’s tough.
