LEED in Landscape Architecture 16 years, 8 months agoYeah, you’re probably just over thinking it a little. I used the chart in the LEED AP Walkthrough, which is probably the same as the one on IntheLeed.com. I will say that there weren’t that many questions that related directly to project roles in the particular question pool that I had when I sat for the test (maybe 5), what I can say is that…[Read more]

LEED in Landscape Architecture 16 years, 8 months agoAnyone still studying to pass under LEED 2.2:

Landscapers Out of the Box 16 years, 9 months agoThere really is no boundary. The goal is to stimulate creativity. If the plastic plant roof has meaning and purpose beyond just looking unique then then i would want to hear about it. I think that what ever we do that is creative must be a mix of art with purpose. A lot of people end up posting cool pictures on Land8, but without explanation they…[Read more]

Landscapers Out of the Box 16 years, 9 months agoWhen in Landscape Architecture out of the Box? What defines the boundry. I can think of a roofscape-with plastic plants-that to me is cearly art not Landscape. Does just being unusual mean out of the box.

LEED in Landscape Architecture 16 years, 12 months agoI’ve been aware of SSI but hadn’t seen their latest report. Go to: http://www.sustainablesites.org
You’ll find a link to the report on the first page. I must say, the “documentation” requirements suggested in this report read like an undergraduate studio assignment for a year-long class. My recent work on a small LEED project looks like a total of…[Read more] -

LEED in Landscape Architecture 17 years, 3 months agoNote: Buildings are “certified”, people are “accredited” – a possible question on the test according to a USGBC study group I went to. I am taking the test in December.
