Im not using a wire mesh.. was responding to your question about hedera or ficus on wires.

Would have to be a tight mesh probably.  Maybe a narrow mesh would give the appearance of a single strand of wire?  

I’ve decided to try an evergreen clematis. ‘Armandii’.  Needs cool roots.  That might be a challenge.  Thanks for the input…

I would say that by ‘making it work’ civil engineers are utilizing calculations and formulas that LAs simply dont use on a regular basis and in general dont have the experience to perform.
