Im not using a wire mesh.. was responding to your question about hedera or ficus on wires.

Would have to be a tight mesh probably. Maybe a narrow mesh would give the appearance of a single strand of wire?

I’m very interested in how GIS information can be used in this profession including some of the aspects that you mention. I took an Ecological Design course last semester that utilized GIS. Seems like optimal effectiveness of green infrastructure as a strategy would be compromised if not one of the leading elements of the site plan.

I dont think anyone would say that LAs are BETTER suited. I would say that by ‘making it work’ civil engineers are utilizing calculations and formulas that LAs simply dont use on a regular basis and in general dont have the experience to perform.
